Vietnam is one of the few countries having a typical socialist health care structure. From the organogram perspective, it is one of the most comprehensive systems but quality of the services is increasingly concerns of the public over the last few years. Patients often drop out the low level and coming directly to provincial or central level of health care.

PHAD staffs tries to introduce the intervention models that help to improve the performance of the health system with support from well research design to measure the impacts and effectiveness of the model. With funding from AP through Population Council, PHAD staff is measuring the impacts of e-health system to the health indicators of Thai Nguyen people.

PHAD research also supports to identify the gaps and problem in the health care system as well as quality of the health care service. Research tries to find solution to improve health care service in the low income setting.
